Join us at Oakwood Park in Lorain for the official dedication of the Ohio Hispanic Veterans Memorial. This special event honors the courage, service, and sacrifice of Hispanic veterans from across Ohio who have proudly served our nation.
About the Dedication
The Ohio Hispanic Veterans Memorial Committee invites you to join us on Saturday, November 8 at 2:00 PM for the official dedication of this long-awaited memorial. What began as an idea in 2020, sparked by the vision of Celestino Rivera and a small group of committed volunteers, has grown into a permanent tribute to the valor and pride of Ohio’s Hispanic service members.
Through the efforts of donors, craftsmen, and community supporters, the dream has become reality – a place of honor and remembrance that will inspire generations to come.

This will be a standing-area event with limited seating available. Parking will be available on the street and at the Armory, so guests are encouraged to arrive early to secure a spot and find their place before the ceremony begins.
Commemorative Bricks
All commemorative bricks purchased and paid in full before September 1, 2025, have already been placed at the memorial. Bricks ordered after that date are currently being processed and are expected to be installed within the next few weeks. Thank you for helping make this lasting tribute possible.
